Ukraine's President Volodymr Zelensky has accused Russia of "doing everything it can" to prevent a meeting with Vladimir Putin to try to end war. US President Donald Trump has sought to bring the two leaders together, but on Friday "that's like oil & vinegar... they don't get along too well". Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Putin was ready to meet Ukraine's leader "when agenda is ready for a summit, agenda is not ready at all", accusing Zelensky of saying "no to everything". After an intensive week of diplomacy, in Trump first met Putin in Alaska, Zelensky w/European leaders go Washington, as US president said war was turning out to be a most difficult one he had tried to stop.

North Korea’s state television KRT on Friday (August 22) broadcast footage purporting to show North Korean soldiers fighting Ukrainian troops in Russia's Kursk region.

Ukraine is continuing strikes on Russian oil refineries & pipeline infrastructure has led to a gasoline shortage in many parts of Russia.  All sectors of Russia's economy are failing and in pre-bankruptcy and a fuel crisis will only make the situation worse in Russia. Ukraine has made it clear there will be no meeting between Putin & Zelensky unless Putin is ready to talk to Zelenskky.

Two Ukrainian MiG-29 pilots launch a dare high-risk mission deep into Russian airspace. Their target: a hidden drone command post near Tyotkino. Russian are responsible for coordinating weeks of deadly UAV strikes. Using terrain masking and gaps in Russian radar coverage, they slip across the border at lower then 100 meters above only to trigger a chain reaction of escalating threats by Russia tracking soldiers.


The Russian started to used S-400 radars, Su-30 fighters, Tor-M2 and even Buk-M3 SAM batteries, plus even Tornets-E acoustic sensors begin their hunting on this two Mig-29 themselves. As the sky turns lethal hot, a Bayraktar TB2 drone provides real-time overwatch who has a max - altitude: 30,000ft+ has to distraction, luring enemy air defenses into revealing their positions. What then follows is a desperate aerial chess to match of enemy radar locks, missile ready to launches, Ukraine used evasive maneuvers, and even last-second countermeasures by flying up high with their Mig-29 flying right into the bright Sun straight to evasive coming missiles.

Ukrainian drones strike oil refineries in Russia's Krasnodar Krai, Samara Oblast, commander says. August 30, 2025 3:35 am (Updated:  August 30, 2025)

Ukrainian drones struck oil refineries in Russia's Krasnodar Krai and Samara Oblast overnight on Aug. 30, the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, confirmed. Earlier in the night, Russian Telegram channels reported explosions were heard by local residents starting 2:30 a.m. local time in Krasnodar Krai, amid reports of drones flying overhead. Videos posted to social media appear to show a large blazes emanating from a both oil refineries. The full extent of the damage was not immediately clear.
