why not just stick to one or two real gurus who are transparent and had excelled consistently?

How do you calculate lost or gain for the year? Only stocks bought this year? Or stocks bought in previous year and realized the profit or loss this year?

Actually j do not track my entire portfolio every month. 
Those stocks  bought 4 or 5 years ago j did not sell anything they are up and with dividends etc even if STI drops by 40% I will still be up. Since I bought them to hold for decade or longer and respond to fundamental changes I only track some news .and rarely do anything.

Wheni refer to losses it is referring only to Singapore stocks i bought this year and HK stocks which have become problematic due to never-ending problems.


If HK market is more stable, send the stocks are in firmer footing,  I will put them aside for keeps. As HK market has sunk to 11yrs low,  I need to reduce risk and take advantage of any opportunities that emerge.

Ifast was a 7 bagger for me and help to make up for my losses in HK market. My Hang Seng Tech positions were just too big. And I trim it down jn case there is a big crash.

Overall I was positive until about a week ago when HSI and HS Tech took a sharp plunge.

There are many who quietly make millions.
There are many who make billions and also share their knowledge....Warren Buffett gave many talks and steps one can take to be rich...if you look at what he said 20yrs ago uou realise you just need to follow and be rich 20yrs later.

Others who share alot are Ray Dalio, Michael Burry.

I would say people don't bother. So they go about their lives the way they chose.
