Ken Chee replaced as CEO for 8i Holdings
#1

I remember after he took over as CEO the stock went up due to bull run on Austrailian market. Ken Chee came out to lambast and make scathing remarks about his predecessor.then proceeded to gloat about his achievements.

One year later under him the stock plunged to below where his predecessor handed over to him. Now he himself is replaced.
Hope the next guy has more grace and humility not to do what he did.

Ken Chee is another character in the circus of investment courses.

I had the misfortune of being dragged to one of his marketing sessions at Goldbell Tower. Where he and his assistants promoted his courses. They also gave a sampling of their "research" one of them was to buy Sing Post at $1.50 because it had hired a great CEO from Deutche Bank.

After that a series of tricks to lure people.to sign up playing to their impulsive nature.

Ken Chee probably made millions marketing his courses and through self promotion. You walk into his office there is this big words "INTRGRITY" and a picture of him shaking the hands of Warren Buffett.

Today his courses are promoted by a woman called Pauline who calls herself "millionaire mom". They recruited celebrities like Gurmit Singh and Edmund Chen.

These courses will never raise your skills sufficiently to be a good value investor. They are overpriced.

Doesn't help much TA or no TA.

After watching a few episodes on YouTube by the Chart Nexus guy, I think I has seems to make sense as a  to hedge against ignorance of fundamentals...but actually useless.

Company earnings good and stock is going up buy...in case I am wrong sticks tattoo going down....SELL.aka cut loss

Market routinely move up and down die to unpredictable external events after you sell it has 50% chance of recovering up.and you are left out in the cold.

If your stock picking is not so precise you should just buy an ETF..of the index all these TA methods are not going to help.

When you buy a stock to own a part of  the business or for its business...it is investing. Just like people put money down to into an actual businesses. This is the original purpose of common stocks.

When you buy a stock for the dsily price movement...it is trading.

Problem with many is they start by investing in a business ...by when the stock move down they start trading out and lose the investment.
