Donald Trump has vowed to impose blanket tariffs of up to 20 per cent on imports from all countries, as well as tariffs on Chinese imports in excess of 60 per cent.

Imposing 20% tariffs on all imported goods will push up inflation in the U.S. …let’s say a German made electric drill costs $100, after tariff it will cost $120, US importer will absorb 20% tariff then pass it to the U.S. consumers….things will become 20% more expensive in the future.

Okaaaaay so why don't work an "Asia First"

Trade within ourselves and strengthen our own economies?

I think it's high time we did that, instead of forever relying on the West for our livelihood

Because the U.S. is one of the largest markets, most of the exports go to the U.S.

Who are the biggest trading partners for China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam.
