The minister of law was trying to explain the code of conduct on conflict of interest was rather weak and had somewhat alluded with a wrong example.

And now SM Teo try to explain that the ministers had to fork out their own pocket monies to make right of the property for liveable habitat…the effort for them to hold a Parliament to discuss or debate about such cases simply shows that the ruling party has failed to do what is right. But merely trying to put forth their “explanations” that does not go well with the public monies going into these GCB rental.

What kind of parliament is this?
SM Teo answers what he wants and brushes away what he does not want to answer
Shamelessdog just stand up and speak even when the speaker was going to close?!
and opposition cannot ask questions in full?
this is a circus lah. Obviously guilty of failing both "moral integrity" and abuse of power/ conflict of interest in any sense
Why were the phones Not Seized?!?!?

This parliamentary seating show the weakness of the leadership. Had this been with LKY’s leadership we would not see such debates despite this government tried to show their integrity as well as their honesty.

It basically shows all the evidences on markets or how the property were rented by the office holders. The public images as MP Leong has put acrossed were valid. Public funds should not funded these public office holders.

And with the Law Minister just added that their phone messages were automatically deleted just open more questioning. Also we can see that the Law Minister keep adding his statement on questions from the parliamentary members.

Teo SM did not answer the questions on conflict of interests and code of conduct, he just beating around the bush.

in countries like HK, TW, Japan or Korea, the ministers will call for a press conference and bow and resign because morality involved.

How dare you say the PM is weak!

I put it to you that he is not weak, but of the same inclination

If it was LKY 's time. The minister that had actual, percieved conflict of interest  would have committed suicide

We can see that Murali questions were script that allow Law Minister was able to prepare the reply as he has read out from the printed script now.

He did answer but not satisfactorily. He said no actual or potential conflict of interest due to recusal. So it follows that there is no perceived conflict of interest.

This is not true. Recusal but still remains as minister in charge. His staff dare to offend him?

He says if there is perceived conflict of interest in this, then the PM cant do anything cos he controls all. Again nonsense. PM dont control private sector, he can rent all he wants.

Straw man argument.

now the ah neh is really talking cock
doesn't explain at all why he needs to be greedy renting a 300,000 sqft property at a fraction of the market rate
while renting out his own prime properties at prime rate
if shamelessdog respect LKY so much he should commit sucide
This is not about shamelessdog being able to rent a BnW GCB at BELOW MARKET RATE. It is about WHY IS HE NOT PAYING MARKET RATE to our national coffers
eg 1.2M per month instead of 65K pm

The perceived conflict of interest which you reference the suicide minister was with evidence. And led the minister to take the undesirable steps.

And back then it was not a perceived conflict of interest, it was before the perceptions were even taken place.

No one in parliament mentioned why the ridiculously low rental price of 11 cents per square foot is justifiable.

How can it be not perceived conflict of interest for Shan? Just because he recused himself does not mean he is not in a position to influence the transaction indirectly. By virtue of his position, it is already a perceived conflict of interest.

Ah Teo is hopeless

Say before no preferenial treatment but can be influenced to get favour

We have to hear it from the horses mouth or experienced on my own than to make allegations on their clarifications. Unlike many would make unfound allegations just like yourselves would have a made your comments based on perceptions.

Does that answer your question?
