THE government has announced significant hikes in land betterment charge (LBC) rates for non-landed residential, landed residential, commercial and industrial use groups from the previous rates, reflecting the generally robust performance of the local property market in the past 6-7 months

so future developments probably wun see the more expensive to build curtain walls and aircon ledges. window walls will be more common and aircon compressors might be just placed on balconies to save costs.

LBC rates for Use Group B2 (Residential, non-landed) 


6.              The LBC rates for Use Group B2 (Residential, non-landed) have increased by 12.9% on average. 116 out of the 118 sectors saw an increase in LBC rates ranging from 6% to 20%, with the remaining 2 sectors seeing no change.  The largest increase of 20% applies to the following sector: 

·        Sector 113 (Yuan Ching Road / Corporation Road / Jurong West Ave 2 / PIE / KJE / Choa Chu Kang Ave 1 / Choa Chu Kang Way / Choa Chu Kang Road / Woodlands Road / Upper Bukit Timah Road / Bukit Batok area / Bukit Panjang area)

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?
