Munger : Bitcoin is worthless rat poison...
#1

I welcome anyone who can write me a para on the usefulness of bitcoin:.....because I cannot see Aby beneficial use of it.

1. I used bitcoin 3 times to buy something online. It took 30-120min for transaction to hold through. Visa and Mastercard is thousands of times faster.

2. If transaction goes wrong, seller is fraud, ...it is irreversible.

3. For thus reason the crypto world change tune to say Bitcoin is a store of value due to the finite number.

4. But it is a poor store of value since it can go down 70% and nothing underwrites tye value.

I can only conclude that Bitcoin main use is for gambling. People buy betting that others also buy to push up the price.
Once people load up, they promote bitcoin so others buy and push up prices for their own benefit. Jn this sense it is lole a ponzi using Youtubers and influencers  to push sales.

Once it starts falling and people lose money the attractiveness sort of decline and it is harder to get people on board to lose their money.

With decline in popularity the price goes down. As it hoes down it become less popular...hence death spiral.

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Price increased back so that the next batch of suckers can buy and contribute to the manipulators. Fools will soon part with their money.

All here agree?

Investment is all about timing.
Wrong time do wrong investment is your own fault.

Not easy to scam so many ppl into Bitcoin, there will be some investors much wiser than us are investing in Bitcoin. They also got to blame themselves if the investment turns sour.

Many ponzi and scams are like that.
They go up sharply first to lure in victims who regret not buying...then they collapse and people lose everything.

Bitcoin is exactly like that.

Madoff ponzi also like that for 20yrs it rose and rose ...People thought he was just wonderful. But actually it was all a scam.

The fact that it goes up does not  make it  genuine...

Bro, some prata stalls in JB also accept crypto as payment which sort of surprised me. I do hold some small amt thru DCA in BTC. I find it convenient for travelling purposes. I willing to lose it all if this really a scam as amount too small for trading also. Powell also said crypto is not dead, it just need regulations. If I not wrong, I think I saw US are promoting use of crypto as under $200 value are tax free something along this line, if i recalled correctly.

Which prata store?
Have you ever use bit coin? There is a transaction fee you need to pay and the transaction takes 30min to 2 hours. To speed up you need to pay more transaction fee.

Which prata man would go use it?

Bitcoin has cause so much damage you the environment from energy if used for mining and cost so many dearly when various scams and schemes collapsed.

I am just very disappointed govts did nothing until cryptos turn into a 500B bubble...and many lost their life savings ....

India’s cryptocurrency market was enjoying a ‘golden age’, but now it’s in a mess

With token prices plummeting and customers unable to transfer money to their accounts, major exchanges like WazirX and Unocoin are feeling the squeeze

Executives fear a new tax system in India, which last year ranked second in the world for cryptocurrency adoption, will wipe out what little trading is left

India’s largest digital assets exchanges are bracing for a drawn-out cryptocurrency winter – one with some unwelcome local twists.

With token prices plummeting, customers unable to transfer money to their accounts and a dreaded transaction tax on cryptocurrencies just around the corner, exchanges like Binance-backed WazirX have put expansion plans on the back burner.

“We have cut down all our non-critical costs,” said Rajagopalan Menon, WazirX’s vice-president. “We are hiring only critical hires, we aren’t spending money at all. It’s literally cryptocurrency winter here,” he said, using industry jargon for an extended bear market.

WazirX isn’t alone. Rival exchanges Unocoin and BuyUcoin are also responding to vanishing trading volumes in a market that just last year ranked second in the world for cryptocurrency adoption.

That a cryptocurrency marketplace should be in cost-cutting mode is hardly a surprise – Coinbase Global Inc. and Crypto.com have announced lay-offs in the last two weeks alone – but Indian exchanges face the added burden of a new tax system that executives fear will wipe out what little trading is left. WazirX’s daily volume has slumped about 95 per cent since October, data from CoinGecko shows.
