Lean management is much more than laying off workers
#1

The best approach to lean management will vary depending on the specific needs of the company. A successful lean implementation should focus on improving overall business performance and productivity i.e. eliminating non-value-added activities, automating tasks, and streamlining processes. However, Some proponents take the easy way out by focussing on reducing headcount as a way to eliminate waste and improve efficiency when they should be trying to improve overall business performance by eliminating waste and maximizing value. Do you agree?

The easy way out appears to be reducing headcount that will lead to immediate and significant cost savings, especially in labour intensive industries. By eliminating unnecessary positions, lean management improves efficiency and productivity. A smaller workforce may be more focused and allows for faster decision-making and quicker response times. However, layoffs may lead to the loss of valuable staff and negatively impact the morale of remaining employees, which leads to decreased productivity and increased turnover.

Singapore is dying under the Current PAP

Because many countries have started their Protectionist Trade Policy

where overseas branches will streamline to focus on SALES people

and let go of Admin/ supporting/ backend staff

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 87 PAP Ministers?

Our politicians are one-trick ponies. They need to think out of the box, but because of the deeply entrenched groupthink, there are not risk takers. Everyone just wants to protect their mega wages by not disagreeing with the PM or DPM.

ideally yes.

practically no.
do not expect companies to adapt to you.
learn to adapt to the companies. choose companies that you like, avoid companies that you do not like.

Generals are the old men sending young soldiers to fight and die for their wars.

Laying off workers is the fastest and easiest way to meet the targets of lean management w/o having to think of effective ways to increase productivity by eliminating non-value-added activities, automating tasks and streamlining processes.
