Is this Govt so naive thinking this is another Family Transfer of Assets like DBS Securities or NCS? NOt at all. Alliance is buying 51% stake of NTUC Income and will make the final decision.

If Allianz is the majority shareholder, NTUC is in no position to dictate how Income will be run anymore.

Allianz also needs to realise that there will be many attrition among policyholders who no longer want to buy insurance from an organisation that is no longer socially driven. Hope they withdraw their offer after seeing the public response.
