Life of peasant Singaporeans : fare hike once more
#1

A few months ago parliament was talking about "cost of living crisis". ...leaders claim they care and they are worried about ordinary Singaporeans suffering.

Now one more fare hike. The prices haven't event fallen yet. Today someone posted a picture of 2 can drinks he purchased at coffee shop and asked "guess how much" . My guess of $3.2-$3.6 was too low. ...

I remember when the PAP govt debated enthusiastically about how they should be paid higher wages because they deserve it. ..highest paid leaders in the world get pay raise.

Then when people suggest hugger wages for ordinary workrs to cope with cost of living they said it was a bad idea.

It the end they serve themselves first.

They talk alot about helping ordinary Singaporeans but it is all insincere talk instead of lowering prices they increase it causing hardship among Singaporeans.

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

ERP collection is $3 MILLION per day and not enough to offset the transport fees increase? There seems to be some mis- management among the Stat Boards.

Many prefer Bicycles / PMAs and not the bus anymore. It should not run every 10 or 15 mins. That savings can be used to offset the fare increase.

The ERP is to subsidise low taxes of the rich and high income owners notvto help Singaporeans.

PAP keep taxes so artificially low it's a magnet for the rich to come here to set up family office and push up prices here.

We get nothing except high coat of living to feed our private bankers.

PAP can stand up in parliament to claim they look after the interest of workers and ordinary citizens in a recent debate  only fools believe.

small hike over time to cover inflation is necessary.
but please look at waste first. emplty buses to semi empty running at off peak time
is it better server with smaller van. or even hire a phv to carry 4-6 passengers. might be cheaper in time of low demand.

Vote one that will never raise price.

Some old people said in the 1940's, they buy meat in market in terms of cents.

Can any party keeping price of meat cost in terms of cents.

CDC is our money, not their $$$ lah.
They use our $$$ to give ourselves and claim that they help us allieviate the impact of high cost of living.

Who causes the high cost of living?

Where are the billions of dollars collected through COE premiums going to? Surely not to subsidise public transport since this is the 3rd consecutive annual fare hike.

Our leaders will only worry when taxpayers are not able to continue paying them their million dollar wages.
