"Director of Carter Capner Law, Peter Carter, representing injured passengers on the flight, said preliminary findings released last week by the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau of Singapore raised a number of issues that point to possible fault by the airline"

"It’s looking likely that this is not a simple case of unexpected turbulence,” Carter said.

He explained that compensation is a key reason why the airline may be keeping quiet, as if the airline was not at fault, the Montréal 1999 Convention capped passenger claims at US$175,000

However if there was any degree of fault by an airline’s pilots or engineers there is no limit to a compensation claim."

The main cause of the event is the air pocket. 

The question is whether there is any action by the airline SIA which cause further damage or injury to the passengers. 

I think the answer is "no".

It's not an individual litigation where that person involved is stressed out.

In the case of SQ, it's just an employee attending court on behalf of the airline. Fight, yes, fight. That's for SQ 的 lawyers to work on while the company representative just attends and gets free lessons on courtroom protocols and some legal stuff.

Thought SIA already claim all expenses etc they foot the bill.

But come trick part heard got one injury till paralyzed and beside that Ang mod elderly who die from heart attack due to his incident.
How SIA going to compensate these two?

KNS end up also " our people money to pay huh ? " Remember During Covi19 days Govt give a lot money to SIA.

This type of lawyer is an opportunist. There was no thunderstorm mentioned in the preliminary report. The flight altitude records also showed the flight was level before it suddenly rose and suddenly dived. Even the passengers said the turbulence was sudden.

Heard news from BKK hospital that some may be paralysed due to serious spinal injuries.

The last 3 passengers IE one survival and a dead couple claimed more than US$3 mio each ( undisclosed).
Their lawyers were very satisfied as compared few earliest US$260,000 each.

He used the words "possible failure to take the normal precautions"; “likely flying over an area of developing convective activity" which means he also does not know what had happened. Until the details are out, all talks are just a guessing game.
