MND announces stricter ownership criteria for HDB flats in prime areas, including 10-year minimum occupancy period ..

To reduce the risk of speculative buying, homeowners cannot sell these flats until they have lived there for at least 10 years. Singles, though, will not be allowed to buy these flats from the resale market even if they have turned 35 years old.

HUH?

So the rich people will not use Prime areas to speculate and will choose sub- prime areas. This will also increase the price of these HDB units, lah.

What is the point? Might as well set 10 Years for Prime areas, 7.5 years for Sub- prime areas and then 5 years for non- prime areas ie Kaki Bukit, Jurong West, Chua Chu Kang. . .

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?
