Pls rah all along in Public sectors , stat boards NO Such thing as " layoff ".
Even Covi19 period , private sectors lay off etc they still entitle usual yearly Two bonus and increment.
Just this yea the Govt keep mention " uncertain economics " yet they also entitle July mid year bonus and soon year end bonus + yearly increment.

This was what actually happened in private sector when more advance technology kicked in lah.
Headcount will shrink gradually as days go by.

A good move.
over time it will raised the level of abilities to the higher level of the class. lower level can leverage on AI to raise their standard.
it is a good development, just need to know the downside.
AI only offers little part of human brain abilities. and like different brain. AI are different due to logic, premise and the data used to train. some can go very wrong and used to brain wash as those simple will take it just as true .
