Wrong drill holes appeared on Boeing 737 MAX
#1

A supplier informed Boeing that two holes in the fuselage of some aircraft may not have been drilled exactly according to requirements, the aircraft manufacturer said.

At the same time, the head of the passenger aircraft division, Stan Deal, emphasized that the "potential problem" did not represent an immediate problem for flight safety and that the 737 aircraft could continue to operate.

However, the incorrectly drilled holes are not the first problem with the supplier Spirit Aerosystems, which was once part of the Boeing Group. Just last year, deliveries of 737 aircraft had to be interrupted - also because of incorrectly drilled holes. At that time, the area of the rear pressure bulkhead was affected, which is a kind of final rear wall of the pressure cabin. Hundreds of misaligned and duplicate holes were found in the affected area.Previously, another problem had become apparent at Boeing and its supplier Spirit Aerosystems in the spring of 2023: There had been a production error in the rear of the newly built aircraft on almost 170 Boeing 737 MAXs. This was about the connection points where the vertical stabilizer is attached to the fuselage.

Sign of decline of a huge company who does not factor in passenger safety in their production line!

We will go for C919s and Airbuses!

Before: At your service; After: Serves you right!
