The Court of Appeal's decision may appear harsh, but I agree with the prosecution that the way Zulfarhan was tortured and murdered is shocking owing to its cruelty and bestiality. Such dangerous men must never be allowed back into society.

Very cruel.
But I disagree that it is 1st degree because it is not that clear their intent was to kill him.
It looks like they torture him and he did died.There don't seem there js sufficient proof of pre meditated murder, plan to murder or intent to murder.
