Many politician at his age would already leave the political arena. And with the speech he gave on the relations with Singapore is simply trying to lay the ground for his son.

And this only goes to show his son is just as useless. Having to resort to having Dr M to do all the work for him….

Or it could be Dr M regretted that he didn’t help his own son in ascending to that high position as what LKY did for LHL….so now he doing catching up. But he failed to realise that he is no longer young and he has lost a lot of times….both ways shows his lacking of foresight and also due to his poor administration has led heir country to be at developing status.
