Because of brake problems: Mercedes-Benz recalls a million cars

Information

The Stuttgart-based carmaker Mercedes-Benz is recalling almost a million older vehicles worldwide. The reason for this is possible braking problems, which in extreme cases can lead to accidents.

According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, ML, GL and R class cars built between 2004 and 2015 are affected. In Germany alone, there are around 70,000 cars. The reason for the recall is a problem with the brakes. Accordingly, the brake booster could be leaking in the recalled vehicles. "As a result, the service brake fails," warns the Federal Office.

In mid-May, Mercedes-Benz announced a recall campaign in the USA due to brake problems in a good 292,000 ML, GL and R-Class cars from the 2006 to 2012 model years.
