Is Brightline train safe?

An early 2022 review by the Associated Press found Brightline's trains average approximately one fatality every 35,000 miles traveled, which is "three times worse than the next mid-size or major railroad."

The distance is 420 km, are you sure they can complete in 4 years? Likely 10-15 years

There is supposed to be one to San Francisco (and Sacramento hopefuly). Too much politics derailed it. Still not completed till now.

The budget is too low, normally one kilometre costs 50-80 million, they have 420 km, 8 billion budget is laughable. Laughing

It doesn't make a lot of financial sense for this route. With a 3+ hour drive and free parking at most Vegas resorts, most Americans will just drive instead.

2028 Olympic is underway, the U.S. wants to show something to the world. However it will lose money over the years as what you said most people will drive instead of taking HSR.

Not just these factors encouraging driving. Besides the north eastern US cities, most cities in US are not walkable or have good public transport. People will still want to drive unless they take the train there and then rent a car there to navigate the city.
