2 takeaways after reading this article.

Why does a local journalist need to put the USD currency conversion next to the SGD figure? Is it because CNA caters to readers from countries in the Rules-Based International Order?

Secondly. Why is alcohol always involved in a Singaporean Indian crime/offence? If they don't drink, then they could have been outstanding and upright citizens like Vivian B. and K. Shanmugam!

Why the guy don't said sorry to her and apologise to the officer said he was drunk ? The police on duty should take that condition and gave a verbal warning to him . Little bit thing charged him for what.

A claim that beggars belief is that Vivian Balakrishnan's wife just happened to chance upon the rental sign at No. 31 Ridout Road while taking a casual walk. Who would take a walk along such a remote stretch of road in a closed community where visitors would typically arrive by car or taxi? A Minister's wife would probably arrive there driven by a chauffeur for a specific purpose. Since the Ridout Road property was not listed on the State Property Information online, so such info is typically not available to the average S'porean. As the property is not visible to passersby since it is accessible only through a narrow road, how will the man-in-the street know it may be rented? Only a Minister with privileged access will be in possession of such info.

Is this the polling officer? If so, I don't blame the offender!
