Obviously rare earth is Uncle Sam’s weakest point, without that carmakers will be out of business, production for missiles, F35 fighters, Boeing planes, radars, aircraft carriers, warships, tanks, weapons, mobile phones, semiconductor chips, computers, spaceships, satellites and medical equipments will be largely affected. 🤣🤣🤣

Its not about mining those rare earth, its the processing of rare earth ... China has 80-90% of global processing plant

Quite likely the Pentagon is now planning to invade China as they are starving for rare earth. That's their usual practice of resorting to violence to get what they need.    Big Grin

Rubio admitted that it’s not just the rare earths but the entire processing and supply chain.

Every country has these rare earths and have been offering to sell them to US but it’s useless without processing ability.

China has the technology for rare earth processing and it currently dominates 90% of the output of the world’s rare earth processing.

It is not simply processing the minerals…in some case rare earth is just the byproduct of processing other metals like aluminium, you have to process 2 tons of aluminium before you can get 1 kilogram of some rare earth mineral. Which country is willing to process huge quantity of aluminium just for a tiny amount of rare earth? What to do with large quantity of aluminium afterwards, sell to whom? However China needs large quantity of aluminium for its manufacturing as it is the world factory.

Australia is investing in rare earth processing in Malaysia but its output is only 5% in the world, not sufficient to meet the huge demand from the U.S.

That is why Assmerica only plan for 2 to 3 years ahead but China plan from 10 to 20 years ahead of time.
China knows Past 5 to 8 years ago that Assmerica going to block chips, precision technology and AI going to China. So China pour in Humongous resources into research in these areas. Now China is no more dependent on the West on these new advance technologies.

However, Assmerica never take action in developing rare earth technologies and advance manufacturing technologies and now is in this dilemma
