1  Everything is expensive there, so she will probably sell the food at high price to cover the rental.
2  That place hardly got stall for rental. So this stall available is an opportunity that must grab..
3. Business is brisk in that place.
4  Finally most important is rental will be automatically adjusted to market rate after 3 years. So, her rate will be adjusted downward.  So as long as she can hang on for 3 years even with little profit, situation will improve after 3 years when the rental is adjusted to market rate.

So  she is looking long term.

So the conclusion is Hawker are making tons of money ! They will take every opportunity to increase price and reduce amount. It's outright rampant profiteering out there. Hawkers are no longer the same as yester years, they are way better than a salary man.

That hawker centre mostly very expensive food.
And this China auntie's coffee stall called 84 something...the coffee is not nice at all. Recommend AVOID.

Several years ago there was this famous beef noodle stall at MP.  I always eat here or at the ckt stall.

Updated - later he moved to Tampines and now at Bugis Junction.
