Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Eva Chairunisa said, KCIC will provide promos with other schemes once the Rp. 150,000 ticket promo period ends on November 30.

"There will be further promotions with varying rates," he said when contacted by Kompas.com, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

He explained that the Whoosh fast train is a commercial train service so ticket prices will use a dynamic pricing strategy where ticket prices depend on market conditions.

"Several factors that can influence whoosh fast train fares include travel time, whether it's peak or off-peak; booking time, whether in advance or before departure; train occupancy, whether the train is booked when it's almost full or when occupancy is still low; the desired route , whether it is a favorite route or not; and various other determining factors," he explained.

“The new record was 21,312 passengers, which was achieved on Nov. 12,” KCIC corporate secretary general manager Eva Chairunisa said. “The previous record was on Nov. 11 with 20,000 passengers and on Nov. 10 with 18,000 passengers.”
