SINGAPORE: Two more COVID-19 cases in Singapore have tested "preliminary positive" for the Omicron variant, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Thursday (Dec 9). 
One was a local case while the other was imported. Both cases were fully vaccinated and had received their booster shots.

The report from SA is telling us there is nothing to worry about the Omicron. It is about 20% more transmissible but it is less deadly than Delta. Pfizer said those with 2-dose will have 25- fold reduction in antibodies than one with booster dose. The SA's report is indicating the vaccine effectiveness for 2-dose is around 50% which can barely protect one from Omicron. Stay safe, get the 3rd booster shot if you don't want Omicron.
