I will prefer to hire foreigners.

They are cheaper , younger and replaceable when their contract ends.

No need to pay salary increment as long as they are replaced on yearly basis.
The salary cost is always about  the same.

Unless the govt can subsidise Singaporeans, if not, they are older and very expensive.

Emerging sectors from automation take away more jobs that they create. Most of these new positions require grads with different skills from their older counterparts. As a result, many retrenched employees end up in lower-level jobs that pay far less. With a mortgage to service and a family to support, few displaced individuals will wait patiently for another job which commensurate with their qualifications and experience. Most out of work seniors end up underemployed as taxi or PHV drivers, security guards, insurance or property agents, MLM sales representatives, private tutors etc. Underemployment is considered such a major issue these days because older PMEs are bearing the brunt of downsizing.

even hdb got racial quota to ensure a balanced mix of the various ethnic communities in all hdb towns.
so why workplace can be like that? 
isn’t workplaces more crucial as it concerns about our livelihoods?
