This is a total waste of time when jobs are still given to FTs.

LOL even their Public sectors , stat boards don't willing to hire Older workers.

" IF " there is , those position is like ' office boy work aka like doing some simple admin jobs " and is Contract.

In fact once you get hire work in public sectors, stat boards is " contract 2 years " later is depend your RO , than director
than become perm staff

contract and perm staff no much difference come Civil Servant Yearly Mid and Year end bonus ALL take the same .

This will give mid-career professionals a “boost to remain relevant and competitive"

----------------------------------------------------------------

Can get the Cotton to stop wayang anot?

You must have a job to have relevant skills, lah!

But companies have been given Unlimited FREE FTs for past 15 or 20 years

He should run 50 Sessions to change the mindset of Companies instead

Hopeless minister.

To collectively help smoothen the more frequent transitions in and out of jobs, combined with the acquisition of new skills ahead of or in-between the transitions

---------------------------------------

Cotton has no idea what is the problem in SG again?

Why smoothen transitions when he should aim for ZERO Transition instead?

Why acquire new skills when the FTs coming here should be the ones complementing us?

Sack him,  please!

Nothing to do with lifelong education. PAP allows employers to hire cheap foreign talents.

if PAP can subsidise employers so that mid-career workers are 50% cheaper than foreign talents, lifelong education will be effective.

This is really a hilarious attempt from a Army General caliber. Spending funds to counsel mid- career workers sounds more like brainwashing them to downgrade and throw away all their Career prospects.

How to ensure boss will help you? They are trying their best to get rid of you rather than helping you.

eventually PAP will provide unemployment benefit once PAP feels the pain of losing votes due to PMET unemployment.

more PMET will be unemployed when PAP continue to allow employers to employ more foreigners/PRs.
