The people deserves the govt they voted for. Don't blame the PAP for anything and whatever they have become. For they only acted upon the power you bestowed them with. Without the people's power/vote, these individuals are just about the same as anyone out there. But likely they still born in some elitist family lah.

You are right to say this narrative, we are the ones who voted them in, giving them the mandate, therefore they can anyhow raise their remuneration........
