Ahhh… but the difference is at the outset it can be a long shot with many upsets.  Like how those punters who bet on Brazil or Germany but were already booted out even before coming to the semi finals.  

I bet closer towards the end, the likely contenders are already narrowed down so of course the odds reflect that too
