Russia can just stop attacking the other country....
It's all lies and nonsense ...in 2014 they occupied Crimea using the excuse that Russian speaking people there were oppressed. Then when they attack non Russian speaking areas in Ukraine they claim NATO cause them.
Putin wants to install his puppet in Ukraine to have control that is the main motivation
He does not want an democratic EU country at his door step because his own citizen will know how much they are robbed by him and his oligarchs.
But he miscalculated. He expected comedian Zalensky to run once war starts so he can install his puppet. That was a big mistake.
80,000 dead Russian soldiers later he gained little.
His power is now in ruins. When the time comes he will be gone.

The much anticipated "August Kherson Counter-Offensive", touted to be Ukraine's last chance to turn the tide, is not happening. Blamed on "slow Western weapons delivery". But more likely reason is that the Ukranian war tactics pin down its troops in trenches amidst Russian artillery fire, preventing any chance to stage a counter offensive.
CNN footages revealed Ukrainians fleeing towards Russian controlled territories.
