They abstain from voting because PaP did not submit the full report and the dates in detail. As for NCM, he was informed fully by Income CEO yet refused to be accountable to the public and the members, that is the big difference. What kind of PM would side such a deviant worker?

2 ministers gave different reasons about the abortion of the deal.
Edwin said it was deemed not to be in the public interest.
Desmond felt that they are being treated like a carrot head for the S$2 billion capital extraction plan under the proposed deal.

just ridiculous to drag WP to this mess. 🤬
just admit it lah.
when have they provide oppositions with all necessary information to make an informed decision.
even when oppositions openly requested for informations in parliament, these people will always cite confidentiality, sensitivities or plainly just denied them from it.
an example, when LMW of PSP tried to get some employments data between singaporeans and pr in our workforce, he was not only denied but was ridiculed.
I really felt ashamed to have these people representing our country.😭

From the financial, stock market view it's sth like this,l think. Sell 51% for ard 2B, ard 3yrs later return ard 2B to shareholders. Alliance besides NTUC Ent are the shareholders who are entitled to this capital reduction scheme. In a way alliance gets back their 'cost ', NE gets back theirs too leaving Income an 'empty shell'. Financial term call this 'assets stripping' pretty common in stock market activities.

The thing is assets are being stripped by other country. It's a bit like卖国贼.

LHL's statement is not fair at all.... Even NTUC exco also do not know about the capital extraction deal term , how does he expect opposition to know the details?
So can we say that by defending NCM, lee hsien loong is also supportive of the deal and has agreed to the sellout?

If they strip all these assets, do they have enough funds to meet future claims?
Income is not a factory where you make what, sell what and all profit return to shareholders.

So LHL is saying Edwin Tong is wrong since LHL is of the opinion its a good deal for NTUC member? And since he is defending NCM, he is also supportive of the deal.
I am now more convinced that NCM is trying to score browny points to raise money for the Gov... Dont forget Lim boon heng (Chair of GIC and NTUC) supported the deal as well.
Now that NTUC is a corporation (no longer a cooperatives), it belongs to the gov like any GLCs. Any surprise all profits including those from the deal goes to the gov?

SM Lee must be voted out because he is getting senile.
he had sided with Tan Chuan Jin for 3 years when he knew about the affair of Tan Chuan Jin and Cheng Lee Hui 3 years ago.
now he wants to side with Ng Chee Meng ?

Instead of reaffirming PM LW concern of a global problem because of the tariffs
He spent a good part of his speech endorsing the serial liar paper general
He even wants such an incompetent leader back into the government
The hypocrite general confirms one important thing about his incompetence
UNDER HIS LEADERSHIP
NTUC INCOME’s MARKET SHARE DROPS FROM 20% to 6%
How this have this kind of useless leader in the government ?
He makes TKL a genius

Pinky better keep quiet. By pushing the bug to WP will anger the residents more and they may vote against the PnP
28-04-2025, 10:55 AM
If the deal is done, they will siphon away the good stuff like cash or cash worthy values and replace it with debts? Then what ever insurance plans people are holding will become just a promise paper of debts which with excuses higher premiums will be imposed to extract more?
28-04-2025, 11:02 AM
lucky we still have good citizens like Tommy Koh, Tan Kim Lian who objected the deal plus that deputy secretary gen who is going all out to inform all JK voters of NCM's character.
28-04-2025, 11:06 AM
From the various youtubes, it was mentioned there a guy who sits on the board was from Morgan Stanley who went on to be the advisor for the deal. Here is another conflict of interest. They see a sugar cane running around trying to squeeze every drop of the deal.
28-04-2025, 02:08 PM
Now, why do I think they are in the same team working against the people? For SM LHL to come out the defend his man does not look like a good objective boss.
28-04-2025, 02:20 PM
LHL should have just kept ncm under his skirt in GRC much like how OYK got into govt. Save the trouble of sending him to SMC and then to defend him...
28-04-2025, 02:43 PM
His NCM said he wants to do it himself... who can ve Singapore defence minister ?
28-04-2025, 02:54 PM
Let the kayu voters decide whst to do with him ba
