Not blame the funeral, but blame the tent contractor for occupying the service road/fire engine access path.......... Clapping

"because the tent was on the service road, officers had to remove bollards that were padlocked to the ground to create an access path."

Is that the best & only alternative to spend time to remove bollards in order to access . No other better & quicker access?

Why still allowed funeral help inside a residential area in 2023?

Finding scapegoat, just as I expected them to do

I find it ectremely distasteful to deflect the cause of death of their own firefighter by raising the subject of the tent blocking its way

You mean the firefighter died because of some delay?

Or is this the narrative they trying to brainwash us to believe?

I find it a likely case of NOT PROPERLY AND NOT SUFFICIENT TRAINED TO HANDLE A FIRE IN A HIGH RISE

YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT NONE OF THE OCCUPANTS SUFFOCATED NOR INJURED NOR DIED

SO HOW COME THAT FIREFIGHTER CAN END UP DYING, WHEN HE DID NOT RUSH INTO THE FLAT TO SAVE ANYONE AND GOT HIMSELF TRAPPED INSIDE???

EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED, SCDF, BETTER OWN UP AND STOP DEFLECTING IT TO THE TENT CONTRACTOR

Sure, you can summon the tent contractor, but don't paint it like it was the contractor's fault in causing the death of your firefighter

You think we stewpig is it?

.

Should shift the blame to HDB for erecting so tall buildings instead of limiting to 2 or 3 storeys only.

The height of the building itself is so dangerous that prevented ease and quick access to the 🔥🔥🔥.

So SCDF legal department is going to sue and file a claim from the tent manufacturer in China.

Better place for the hearing is at The Hague.

The speed of the fire engine is questionable?

The Fire engine taken too long to reach the fire @ Henderson Road.

Reviewing LTA construction of roads and Police traffic lights may have delayed the whole deployments.

Seems like they try to squeeze their way out by pushing responsibility to the contractor. There are many excuses like cupboards, chairs or even shoe rack blocking corridor can cause firefighter death? So, going forward, are they going to summon the residents for the cause?

Why not?

What excuse is there to build funeral tentage on fire truck access?

In Japan, the commander would just commit harakiri
Down here, they will blame anything they can lay their hands on
What has a funeral tent got to do with this?
They are making their poor operations tactics and procedures look even more comical
You mean in war, if our tanks are blocked by a bicycle or a cardboard cart, the tank commander won’t know what to do?
Look, if minutes are so critical, the fire brigade truck should just smash through the tent, after asking people to clear off
Or like General Patton said
“If you cannot go through it, go around it”

Besides, nowadays got iPhone or walkie talkie
The Commander can easily tell his teenage firefighters to back off until help arrive, while he’s having his coffee break

Tampines & West Coast GRCs are there for the taking

contributing factor. the time it took delayed them reaching the fire earlier..

but we are TOO SOFT on illegal parking and illeglal errection of stuff at dead ends especially...

my road here Somme rd is one big exmaple

the dead end LTA helped us make a U turn point but the last building thinks its their own personal PRIVATE space.

see how the fire engine can get there when there is a raging fire........
