What to do. Some just walk off without paying after putting the goods into their bags.

Terrible lah I tell you.

This policy is good and help to reduce shoplifting.

I actually don't think that it is unreasonable to get shoppers to put groceries in the baskets or shopping carts before going to the checkout. Whether one is at the self-checkout or cashier, he/she has to remove every item to be scanned. It is far more inconvenient to take groceries out of a reusable bag or trolley vs a basket or shopping cart. The only people who would object to this request by FairPrice are shoplifters.

All supermarket has provided customers with baskets and trolley

Use it, lah! And those lazy uncles, please stop putting your UHT milk

or your China can food on the vegetables when you are queing- up
