Fraser picked up NEX after Link Reit declined to buy in the earlier package with Jurong Point.

Link Reit is pretty shrewd and I think Fraser probably overpaid. I mentioned this in the HWZ FCT thread but those folks are plagued by confirmation bias.

Also, the area around NEX has no to little growth potential except a polyclinic going to be built opposite and there is an empty plot by the side, which is likely to be a competing shopping mall cum office.
