Retirement is a mindset not defined by age
#1

Retirement is not solely defined by age; it's a state of mind. Consider a Grabfood delivery rider in his 20s living from hand to mouth blissfully disconnected from traditional employment, or PMEs in their mid-60s with no plans to retire. For some, work is life-defining, while others find fulfilment beyond their jobs.

Some discover this truth in their 40s or 50s and found clarity on what truly matters. These people detached their self-worth from their careers. They reassessed their priorities, found purpose beyond employment, experienced personal growth and found retirement liberating.

Retirement is a mindset not defined by age. Fulfilment comes from within, not just from work. Redefining self-worth beyond employment brings freedom. Financial stability is not always a prerequisite for happiness. Do you agree?

You are most unfortunate that you are condemned to work till you drop dead. There are others in SG who are willing to downgrade to a cheaper home, sell their car and live a simpler life with enough to survive after they have called time on their work.

S'poreans are still wondering how our ministers were and continue to be outfoxed and outclassed in negotiations with India over this lopsided CECA deal when SG's politicians are paid so much more than their counterparts. Shouldn't our leaders be giving taxpayers so much more value on the amount of $$$ that we are paying them?
