No way he can do much to lower cost of living because the root causes are external factors with US as the main culprit. The US kept attacking China with trade sanctions and causing wars in Ukraine and supporting rogue state like Israel's war in middle east.   The situation is only going to get worst when US voted in a criminal as President to lead as the country world leader.
