The layout of new flats and condos make the heat worse. Their windows tend to face just one direction and there is a no cross breeze in the unit. If your home has windows on two sides, it is actually bearable with no aircon.

I see those new BTO flats , is all squeeze within one another. Quite standard. 4 Tall blocks , middle is the fitness/playround.
beside CC with Multi carpark. Actually they want to make it like a " condo feel "
Condo layout also like this , but of course the design is vary and layout the surroundings and size.
This is why " perhaps " a lot using air con , partly they cannot open the windows due to " Privacy "
Is like most owners close their windows with curtain.
