Netizens mock S$30k ‘peanut’ fine after Ong Beng Seng penalised for abetting Iswaran in obstructing justice
Property magnate Ong Beng Seng was fined S$30,000 on 15 Aug for abetting obstruction of justice involving ex-transport minister S Iswaran. The ruling drew online ridicule, with many calling the fine a “peanut” compared to his net worth. Some argued fines should scale with wealth, while others feared it could set a precedent for reduced penalties on medical grounds.

WP needs to ask PAP in parliament on how many current prisoners are with terminal cancer.
WP should ask if they could be released from prisoners like Ong Beng Seng.

If you asking too many questions in Parliament then, OBS will not sell his property to you at all

The verdict was only to give OBS a stern warning but he advised his lawyer to counter offer a fine of $30,000 which was readily accepted.
Win/Win

Basing on Human Rights, OBS is sick and therefore, OBS should be in bed at home and zoom in teleconference with the judge.
The judge committed a very serious mistake against a sick offender.
