The train is empty. Why can't one Singaporean cut another some slack.

What problem is caused by them bringing a bicycle onto a nearly empty train?

It is difficult for them to monitor during crowded times

While it is not acceptable to board unfoldable bikes into mrt, Mrt should look into designating the last carriage during off peak hours for such bikes. In some countries, such bikes can board the train for long distance cycling.

If this is allowed, very quickly you will see not just one or two bicycles but may be 20 to 30 bicycles queuing at the boarding platform at most hours. Moving long distance with train to main towns then followed by bicycles for shorter trips in the town will become the norm very quickly as bicycles are affordable to almost everyone. Then the real problem comes when the train is cramped with bicycles..... Rolleyes
