There is a risk-averse culture in the SAF owing to the scrutiny that decisions are under in a rigid hierarchical system, while there is more of a risk management culture in the private sector. This makes it imperative for former military leaders to apply and adapt the unique skills they learned in the army into a different environment. Senior military officers may know how to manage large resources and deploy budgets. However, they do not have the same grasp of the profit motive.

Looks very qualified. Went to Harvard
Harvard is a famous University in USA and standard is high.

Things and problem will not improve if they kept parachuting general to the top post instead of rank and file from within.

A CEO must have a clear and compelling vision for the company's future, able to develop and execute strategic plans and to identify and mitigate potential risks. For SMRT, he just needs to be a former SAF General who knows how to land safely into the CEO's office using a parachute. LOL!

same analogy
a professor may not be a gd teacher
a phd in finance economic may lose money in investment
similarly
paper knowledge on arts of warfare will never win a war

Err.. you know how it works or not. These masters for business administration are for networking only, and you could only get in with a recommendation from an organization. You will almost be guaranteed an acceptance as long as the organization which sponsored you is reputable and has a certain "weight" in society.
You can't just sign up yourself and get enrolled based on academic records.
