Does it mean that the marriage definition will change if PAP loses in the next election ?

if yes, LGBT voters will not vote for PAP because they want to change the marriage definition .

What's in a family?
Without a father and a mother,
An adopted child definitely not their product.
Its just 'borrowing' someone's kid and call it yours.
What goes around comes around.

No oppies will campaign on the promise to change marriage definition. That will be suicidal.

So all will promise no change.

Can vote oppies safely. LGBTQ votes are not powerful enough.

Or are they betting on the fact that the boomers , conservatives and religious will probably die off in 15 years and then someone can finally come out of the closet.
Since the definition of marriage is not enshrined in the constitution, parliament can decide that the definition of marriage is whatever they want it to be lor. Laughing

When you garner 60% of the votes but hold 90% of the seats, what is this talk about losing? Presuming they win 50% of the votes, they will most likely still be the majority, given their great talent in redrawing the boundaries. Hats off to them!

Yes that is why it is essential that they enshrine in the constitution that a marriage can only be between a man and a woman
instead they want to amend the constitution so that any party with a 50% voting majority in parliament can define what a marriage is . ie between man and  animal, man and man , man and robot...
if PAP lost or if he died , or even if he wins, a marriage can still be changed at any time to between a man and a man since it is not enshrined in the constitution.

Basically hypocrites who think the citizens are seriously stupid

Was about to say the same thing. "Does it mean that the marriage definition will change if PAP loses in the next election

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

essentially blackmail
So the clever opposition parties could now declare that they will be willing to enshrine the definition of marriage in the constitution if they comprise more than 50% of parliament.
Then the conservatives ( majority of Singaporean voters ) will swing their votes where it makes sense.
