The workers' organization Lederne has taken out 74 members on strike, which means that the oil fields Gudrun, Oseberg Sør and Oseberg Øst will be closed down.

In an announced escalation on Wednesday, 117 members in the Heidrun, Aasta Hansteen and Kristin fields will go on strike. All of these fields will also have to close production, while Tyrihans will have to close as a result of Kristin closing, according to the industry organization.

According to Norwegian Oil and Gas, about 13 percent of gas exports abroad will be lost as a result of the shutdown.

From 9 July, the Leaders have announced a further escalation of the strike, and the total number of members on strike could then be 382. This escalation involves 68 members working at Gullfaks A, 59 members at Gullfaks C and 64 members at Sleipner.

The managers have operator employees in the following companies: Equinor ASA, ConocoPhillips Norway, Neptune Energy Norge AS and OKEA ASA.
