This is weird in the first place to hire someone with corruption case going on. It is taking a risk that is 50-50.

Despite sued for breaching customers data, SingTel refused to sell Optus..

There must be some good reasons behind..

Australians did not benefit anything from Optus except trouble and disruption..

Maybe some customers sense sabotage

The year ended 31 march 2023, Optus revenues grew by 4.5% to A$ 4 billion in the 2nd half of the year.

Tax avoidance, Optus paid little tax or no taxes for at least 15 years between 2002 and 2017

Parent SingTel were heavily subsidized by Optus profits
