I am confused with their Succession Plan. After screening and came up with 4 Potentials, where MP Heng quit, shouldnt all 3 undergo Training already in the past 3 or 5 years? Did PaP forgot about training them?

Within the next 5 years, what happens if the Future PM resigns or meet an accident? Then waste another 5 years to choose, another 5 years to train and another 5 years for the following GE again?

I think LHL's disclosure of the plan for LW to take over as PM if PAP wins the next GE is fair statement with no other hidden agenda. Of course if PAP lose, then the plan will be aborted.

Looking back LHL would have step down and hand over to HSK in this current term if HSK did not resigned. His resignation had disrupted the handing over plan for this term, so the next handing over is planned for LW after next GE if PAP wins. This would give LW a guided running in period under his watchful eye until next GE. 

If LW suddenly resign like HSK after winning the next GE, then Pinky might have to continue another term until another next GE........
