I was impressed with the Baidu app when I was in driving in China recently. Navigating with the app, it is even able to tell me when the red light turns green and what is the distance to the nearest junction accurately. I was amazed at how precise the info is, given that all of us know that satellite positioning will usually give some error.

I think if the project is awarded to the Chinese we could do it at a much lower cost and have a better system.
