Basic Authentication is an outdated industry standard. Threats posed by it have only increased with time and we have already deprecated Basic Authentication across numerous products. I almost missed this. Don't really understand the point of this, but apparently, the goal is to encourage the adoption of more secure and effective authentication methods. This MS Office pack offers technical support and they made sure I was aware of the changes.
