More Oxford Street candy shops have been raided as council officers seized £100k in dodgy sweets and vapes on Tuesday. Westminster City Council found thousands of fake Wonka chocolate bars and unregulated vapes in a crackdown on businesses selling counterfeit goods on the famous shopping street.
The Central London council has now seized about £575,000 worth of counterfeit and illegal goods from American candy and souvenir shops in the past six months. Investigations are underway on 30 US-themed sweet shops on Oxford Street for allegedly failing to pay £7.9 million in business rates.
