The SG govt is prioritising economic expansion above all other considerations such as environmental, social and human well-being with severe consequences. This growth has widened income gaps, worsened social injustice and largely neglected the vulnerable. Overemphasising growth has compromised the mental and physical health, work-life balance and community cohesion of S'poreans. The perceived favoritism shown to foreigners for white collar jobs and discrimination against citizens who are losing their livelihood to aliens yet have the burden of NS obligations, is glaringly obvious. In spite of talk about environmental protection, the govt has largely ignored concerns about overpopulation, climate change, pollution and resource depletion. S'pore's economic transformation into a financial hub has led to hardship for its people. Do you agree?
