PM Wong’s fear of losing ministers raises questions on PAP’s leadership depth and resilience

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s Fullerton rally speech on 28 April warned of instability if a few ministers were lost. Yet, this raises serious questions about the PAP’s leadership depth and Singapore’s political resilience. True strength lies in strong institutions, not near-total dominance at the ballot box.

Here we go again with the PaP Poor Succession Planning. SM LHL also took ages with this and now, PM LW seems lagging with the new Succession Plan for proactive changes in GE that requires a round of new musical chair. Frankly, he is beating us for disrupting PaP and making us responsible for his leadership inadequacies.

ministers is not civil service and civil service is not ministers.

And along the line to blur this over time, this is being taken for granted.

There are a few useless so called ministers in cabinet. Make mistake and still no harakiri. Mistakes tolerated by those in power.

I'm thinking PM Wong is planning some after 3rd May 2025. For sure. Rotfl He is sure plan to being newer ministry to help govt, no plan for PAP to seat down to drink tea with some good result, hope it help him, special he need a special help in ministry of defence dept where he lose a few senior command, eg like in the navy, air force and army.
