Many CECAs appear to have no difficulty renting condo units in Bukit Timah for $6K - $8K per month.

Many CECAs in banking have expat packages into the 5 figures per month.

I do not believe that NUS, NTU and SMU are incapable of producing enough Finance grads to fill such jobs. Why are we importing CECAs (many with fake degrees) to perform such work?

Banking is a broad sector but it does not require a shedload of technical skills to grasp unlike IT or Biotech.  Rather, it's mentorship and connections that drive the talent forward.  Singapore was in a good place to develop its position as a world class financial hub two decades ago but with the flood of CECAs, the opportunity has gone.

A typical CECA's objective is always to expand his personal empire and that is achieved by hiring his fellow villagers regardless of competency.  That is why the banking sector in Singapore has been going downhill and has failed to exploit opportunities in China, the Middle East, etc and being overly focused on India with shitty returns.

if working with ceca can improved your mental health, you can work with them and you can proved to me. better quit if company ratio of ceca is more than your own people. at least can live longer.
