If workers are facing difficulties and uncertainty , and politicians can't provide solutions then, they living on taxpayers money handouts too should be layoff.

Especially, those who are not contributing since being voted in last election.

Most of them are doing duplicate works. And paid the same amt of salary. A waste of resources and shd put such wages for better use like helping the under-privileged.

Our politicians are greedy parasites living off taxpayers' money.  That greed is best exemplified by Woody Goh who mentioned several times that our MIW are not paid enough. He even claimed publicly that anybody who earns less than $1 million per annum in S'pore is "mediocre" and unfit to be a ruling party Minister. The days of Pay And Pay lying to S'poreans, through the strictly Govt-controlled mass media, that they "serve" us is well and truly over. Everyone knows that these greedy MIW are only into self-service, drawing the average S'porean’s monthly salary doing 2-3 hours of "work". Most citizens - including the clueless 60% who vote for the Pappies - are living from hand to mouth, and will likely not be able to retire till the day they drop dead!

Smile let me expose this current PAP ....they way how they work.

They is smart is to " cover up ". In fact ever since Covi19 days , a lot people got retrench. They claim a lot private sectors start hiring is subjective after Covi19.

One thing they also want to make MOM stats look good, so purposely create jobs from their Public sectors , stat boards. Yes is contract base this is nothing new, if I not mistaken they start contract base is 2000 late 90s. Mean those newly hire civil servant will be working for 2 years contract inside. But come bonus everyone get the same. Only difference is come annual leave. Less than those perm staffs. Usually after two contract they will be perm staffs

This is why MOM claim retrenchment people getting lesser. The reality is Govt ownself create jobs to hire people to make the jobless stats don't look so much.

And why GST hike on surface they claim due to health care expense etc , in reality they also have to feed these EXTRA new civil servants on top with so many Old civil servants still inside public sectors.

Don't forget civil servants bonus is two time per year that is mid and year end include yearly increment. Even Covi19 those years they still entitle bonus despite global economics is bad , private sectors doing retrenchment . Last year as usual they also got .

All these money is not drop from sky to pay their EXTRA civil servants, obviously need to take from " somewhere " .

this is why they pushing every thing to increase this and that.

normal civil servants mid yr 0.3 of a mth  =0.3x2k =$600
minister 0.3 of a mth is 150k*0.3= 45k

whta is the absolute diff btwn 600 n45 k?

of course even in covid 19 they will not shelve the mid yr bonus of 45k
