Because of money lah. Many Ah Tiong so there keep small 3.
When I was there many also speaks Korean because lots of Kimchi Biz there and the expat brings $$$$.
I know a couple of Jappie club whom are Viet bu owner are kept women by Jappie expat

I have seen more vietnamese speaking cantonese fluently than mandarin.

nothing unusual lah. even lao li and xiao li aso can speak. tou ni dan aso can
